Maya Angelou, ‘And still I rise’

Famed-poet Maya Angelou, pictured above with Malcolm X, died yesterday at the age of 86. Her work often used metaphors lifted from nature to explore themes of spiritual triumph through struggles against social injustice. Here is Angelou reciting her poem, “And Still I Rise”:
